A new and exciting eco-fashion brand, UPP (United Power and Performance) Weightlifting has launched, bringing casual clothing for weightlifters and Crossfitters, made from eco-fabrics.
The company was born from its owner’s passion for sustainability and love of Weightlifting. It is an independent, UK based clothing brand designed for the Weightlifting and CrossFit community.
UPP was kind enough to send Lifting Times one of their Tees for testing purposes 🙂
Commonwealth Games Bronze Medallist Ben Watson tried out the shirt for a couple of training sessions and commented very highly on its comfort and excellent fit.
UPP aim to bring street and surf inspired fashion and design to the weightlifting world, by designing casual, on trend clothing to wear in or out of the gym.
Founder Matt Juden commented "‘the fashion industry is guilty of being the second highest source of pollution. When you think of pollution, you do not usually think about what we are wearing on our backs, but rather the increasing CO2 from car fumes, dirty power plants or the masses of single use plastic waste that ends up in our seas. But the impact the fashion industry is having on our planet is shocking and dismal".
Their garments are made from organic cotton and bamboo and create their collections in an ethical, wind-powered factory and their two current core ranges feature a bold print and a smaller brand logo on a variety of different style tops.
UPP are contributing towards improving the fashion industry and giving the weightlifting community a top quality product and a greater choice when it comes to buying their clothing.
