Lifting Times Is Back

Lifting Times is back. After a long, quiet spell we’ve rebuilt the magazine from the ground up — the same honest, coach-led writing, in a brand-new home.

Lifting Times started in 2015 as a magazine for the Olympic weightlifting community. Life got busy, the old site got creaky, and it drifted quiet — but the articles, the coaching and the community were always worth more than that. So we’ve given it the relaunch it deserved.

What’s new

  • A faster, cleaner site that actually works on your phone.
  • Every one of our classic articles preserved — word for word.
  • Brand-new step-by-step guides to the snatch, clean and jerk, rolling out over the coming weeks.
  • Our free Practical Guide to Olympic Lifting — yours when you subscribe.
  • Honest picks of the gear we actually use.

What’s the same

Everything that mattered. Lifting Times has always been written by lifters and coaches — GB internationals included — and that hasn’t changed. No fluff, no filler, just practical weightlifting.

Get involved

Subscribe for the free guide and the occasional lifting tip, dig into the archive, and if you’d like to write for us, get in touch. It’s good to be back.
