Paul Shortland

Paul has been involved in training in some format or another for 17 years (starting with Martial Arts and then moving to Rugby). Paul played rugby to a high level for 8 years before having to retire due to injuries.

This is when he moved into bodybuilding.

At University Paul did Biological Science where he specialised in Clinical Microbiology and the modules included human systems.

After University he went back to rugby as a coach before moving for work. This is where he discovered CrossFit and Olympic Lifting.

He has been doing Olympic Lifting specifically now for 3 years.

Paul is a level 1 BWL coach and has his level 2 planned in a few month time.

He currently works for a diagnostics company where they specialise in rapid tests and through this they can de-mistify the world of drugs testing.
